Maya wearing her London Girl Outfit
Maya is a beautiful doll with very silky soft hair. She was created in 1970 and has the number 4-110. I noticed that one of her eyes was not quite “right” when she arrived; her eye was very faded. So I carefully repainted her eyes with the same colours as she would originally have had.
She is wearing her own “London” outfit, which includes a brown vinyl pinafore with buckled straps, a white turtleneck pullover, matching pants and brown vinyl knee-high boots.
She was created at the same time as the “London” Boy outfit which I show on the Separates page.
Natalie wearing the Red Pinafore Outfit
Natalie is a truly gorgeous girl. She was originally a Gregor from 1969 who had severe falling hair. It is so sad when a doll has falling hair since there is just nothing that can be done to stop it from getting worse. This doll’s hair was so bad that it just became easier to remove it rather than pick up hair all the time.
Natalie has beautiful sprayed brown eyes with beautiful delicate hand finishing, elegant eyelids and beautiful perfect peachy pink lips. She is wearing a wonderful brown Dollsmane wig which was styled in a similar way to the Princess Sasha wig.
Natalie is wearing the Sasha Brunette “Red Pinafore” outfit produced from 1980-1986.
This outfit consists of a red denim pinafore, a dark blue/white gingham short-sleeved blouse, white underwear, white ankle socks and white laced canvas shoes.
The thing about Natalie is that she looks gorgeous in absolutely anything.
Isolde wearing the Tunic Outfit
Isolde is a stunning red-haired girl doll. She was created by the Trendon factory between 1979-86 wearing her “White Dress” outfit 108. I have repainted her eyes as one of them had a scratch on it when she arrived with me. Isolde is a lovely girl smaller than my 1980’s dolls so I think she is probably from the early part of the production dating to 1979.
Isolde is wearing the “Tunic” 115s outfit created for a blonde Sasha between 1985-6. The outfit includes a blue sleeveless cotton tunic, a long-sleeved white blouse with a small print pattern, a white half slip, white tights and white slip-on shoes. As I don’t actually have a pair of white court shoes for this outfit she is wearing a lovely pair of t-bar shoes which remind me of the startrite sandals I used to wear when I was a child in the late 60s and early 70s.
Anna wearing her Original Outfit
I was very lucky to buy Anna in December a couple of years ago. She is a beautiful girl made by Gotz in 1998 (98-08013) and does not come up for sale very often. She is a beautiful girl and was the only girl with a side part. Her brown hair is cut in a short style to just below her shoulders and she came with a pale blue heart-shaped hair clip to hold her hair back from her face. I like her without the hair clip as the way her hair drapes across her forehead reminds me of the hairstyle that all of the teenagers are wearing at the moment and this gives Anna a very up-to-date look. Anna has beautiful blue eyes with star-shaped pupils.
Anna is wearing her original outfit consisting of a medium blue brushed denim dress with a waist-length bodice and long sleeves. Over this, she wears a very pretty white pinafore with pintucks and open-work detailing. The pants with this outfit are very large and full. She has white ankle socks and white leather Mary Jane style ankle strap shoes.
I bought Anna with Annett as they look like sisters with very similar facial features and the same shade of brown hair.
Pippi wearing the Wibke outfit
Pippi is one of Kelly Wenarsky’s wonderful creations made in October 2006. Pippi “is not a copy of Sasha Dungarees but she was inspired by the idea. She was originally a blonde Sasha girl from the 1970s… with a ding on her nose she was very well loved and played with. She probably much preferred climbing a tree or riding in her mommy’s bicycle basket… her hair has been permanently dyed red, but a darker, deeper red than the original dungarees doll… her eye style was inspired by an early dungarees doll from 1966… she is a one of a kind doll and will not and cannot ever be exactly duplicated.”
Pippi is wearing the Gotz Wibke outfit which was produced in 2000. It includes a blue denim A-line pinafore with matching front pouch and belt, pale blue wide rib short sleeve turtle-neck shirt, white ribbed vest, white pants and navy leather sandals. The outfit is completed by red elastic hair bands.
Esther wearing the Iona Toddler Outfit
Esther is my cute blonde blue-eyed Gotz Toddler 42002 made in 2000. She is holding her bagpuss.
Esther is wearing the Iona toddler outfit (42206) which was made in 2001. It consists of a pale pink zippered jumper with an attached hood lined in rose, a matching rose blouse, a maroon shoulder purse of brushed fabric, a maroon cap and white underpants. I am still missing the espadrilles from the outfit.
